Meet The CEO:  Van Carter is the founder and CEO of Solid Families Inc. and Solid Families Housing LLC. Van's experience includes Affordable Housing Compliance, Housing  Management, Property renovations, business and financial management, budgeting, and marketing. Van has 24 years experience in working with HUD, Rural development, and Tax credit housing programs, at which she has overseen a portfolio of housing rental units fluctuating from 1,900 to 2,600 units over the years. Van has also worked for local county government in Housing In Community Development and Case management. Van holds an active FL and GA Real Estate License. She is also a Certified Manager of Housing, a Housing Credit Certified Professional, an Occupancy Specialist, a Tax Credit Specialist, a Certified Apartment Manager, A National Leasing Professional, a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor and a HVC Rent Calculation Specialist. Van has always had a passion for helping individuals obtain and maintain suitable and affordable housing along with a passion to help and see others become self sufficient and independent. She believes that everyone deserves a place to call home. Van is a loving wife and mother of five children who enjoys spending time with her family, educating others on housing and loves encouraging others to over come life objectives. In her spare time, she loves volunteering, watching her favorite t.v. shows, singing and playing old school board games.
